The Engage Billions Scholarship aims to aid young policy leaders worldwide in attending the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montréal as part of BMW Group’s global delegation. Additionally, scholars will gain entry to a special “Welcome! New Parliament” event in Brussels, the European capital of policy making, which brings together young leaders from business, policy making, and NGOs.
Requirements:
Successful candidates will be young leaders actively engaged in and influencing the role of democracy in climate policy. Selected individuals must possess a minimum of two years’ experience in one of the following roles:
- Engaged in climate policy making/advisory within a supra-national or national government/civil service.
- Occupying a policy and advocacy position in a national or international NGO or think tank focused on climate issues.
- Holding a leadership position within a youth/student-led organization advocating for progressive climate policy and enhanced democratic participation.
- Serving in a leadership role within a community-led organization advocating for progressive climate policy and enhanced democratic participation.
In addition, candidates must:
- Be between the ages of 18 and 30 by May 2024.
- Be available to attend the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montreal from September 17th to 21st.
- Be available to participate in the Welcome! New Parliament Youth Summit in Brussels in June/July 2024.
Scholarship Benefits for the BMW Group Engage Billions Scholarship in Montréal include:
