What Does the Fellowship Offer?
The NGFP Fellowship provides a supportive platform for young professionals venturing into the futures and foresight field. Often, navigating this space can feel isolating, especially for youth balancing these pursuits alongside their daily responsibilities. Through the fellowship, participants gain access to:
- Global Network: Join over 900 like-minded individuals from 90 countries in the NGFP Network.
- Mentorship: Receive guidance and support from experienced mentors.
- Capacity Building: Enhance your foresight skills through workshops and training sessions.
- Regional and Sector-Specific Hubs: Engage with peers in specialized communities.
- Funding Opportunities: Secure financial backing to develop your projects.

Who Can Apply?
The NGFP Fellowship welcomes applications from individuals aged 18-35, as well as those older with less than five years of foresight experience. We encourage submissions from diverse backgrounds, particularly from the Global South and those addressing pressing global issues.
Funding Details
Each fellow receives an initial prize of USD 1,000 to kickstart their project. Moreover, all fellows have the chance to compete for the Fellowship Main Prize, a substantial grant of at least USD 10,000, awarded to those who demonstrate exceptional progress during the fellowship.
Crafting a Successful Application
Your application should outline a project or idea with a clear theory of change, demonstrating how futures and foresight methods will drive positive change. Highlight your community engagement strategy and articulate the significance of joining the NGFP Network to your project’s development.

Judging Process
Our judging panel comprises diverse foresight experts, activists, and innovators committed to supporting the next generation. Judges evaluate applications based on alignment with NGFP’s vision and potential for impact.
Funding
At the beginning of the journey, each fellow receives a USD 1,000 prize to develop and accelerate their project. By the end of their one-year journey, all fellows have the chance to run for the Fellowship Main Prize, which consists of a more substantial grant (at least USD 10,000) and acknowledges those who made the most of their journey.
What if Your Application Isn’t Selected?
Even if your application isn’t chosen for the fellowship, you can still become a member of the NGFP Network. High-quality, future-focused applications may lead to network membership, offering access to various opportunities. Additionally, you’re welcome to reapply in the future.
