Leadway Assurance, a prominent insurance company in Nigeria, was recently bestowed with the prestigious accolade for “Best Innovation In SME Insurance Services of the Year” at the 4th Nigeria National SME Business Awards (NNSBA), held at the Civic Center on Ozumba Mbadiwe Way, Victoria Island, Lagos State.
The event, orchestrated by the Association of Small Business Owners of Nigeria (ASBON) in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade, and Investment, aimed to acknowledge and celebrate the remarkable contributions of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to the nation’s economy.
Held on April 11, 2024, the event saw the participation of several eminent dignitaries representing various SMEs from diverse sectors in the Nigerian market, under the theme “Collaborative Initiatives: Strengthening Networks for SMEs.”
During the event, the President/Chairman of Council, Ken Opara, delivered a goodwill message, shedding light on the government’s initiatives to support SMEs, including the disbursement of N60 billion from the Central Bank of Nigeria through the Agric Small and Medium Enterprises Investment Scheme. Dr. Opara underscored Leadway Assurance’s commitment to empowering SMEs through innovative insurance solutions tailored to their needs.
