Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Ltd. recently concluded a successful iteration of its YouthEmpowered program in the Federal Capital Territory, aiming to empower young people nationwide.
The event, held at the scenic Sentosa Parks and Garden, Apo Legislative Quarters, attracted over 1,300 participants. Through workshops, discussions, and hands-on activities, attendees gained vital skills and knowledge essential for navigating today’s competitive job market.
With a focus on seizing opportunities in the contemporary business landscape, the program covered career planning techniques and entrepreneurship development. This holistic approach underscores NBC’s dedication to fostering economic empowerment among Nigerian youths.
Olukemi Ogunsakin, NBC’s Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Lead, highlighted the program’s alignment with Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company’s Mission 2025 sustainability commitment to train one million youths by 2025.
Abiodun Essiet, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR on Community Engagement, praised the enthusiastic response from participants, stressing the importance of investing in youth development initiatives.
The event included interactive sessions on emerging trends and industry best practices, with a focus on AI and its relevance in career development for the digital era.

YouthEmpowered remains central to NBC’s mission of equipping individuals aged 16-35 with essential skills for employment and self-reliance. Since its inception in Nigeria in 2017, the initiative has positively impacted over 48,000 youths across multiple cities and campuses.
