WeThinkCode_ is a registered non-profit company (NPC) and public benefit organisation (PBO) whose business model works across the youth development value chain to recruit youth with a high aptitude to code, train them rigorously over 16 months and place them into jobs as software developers within South Africa’s most reputable and innovative businesses.
It is open to all. To apply, you don’t need a matric or any other diploma, you only need the problem-solving mind of a computer.
With access to cutting-edge technologies, you’ll be coding with world-class students who share the same passion as you. Students learn to access, filter, compare and use relevant data in order to solve problems and have access to campus 7 days a week. In a peer-oriented environment, students also evaluate each other’s work and complete the feedback loop.
Application Requirements
- Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
- Applicants must hold one of the following:Valid South African ID, Valid Passport with work permit, Valid Asylum seekers permit
- WeThinkCode_ is a full-time program, you will not be able to join the program if you are currently working or studying at another institution.

2: Complete Application Form
To start your application process, click here and fill out all relevant forms.
3: Complete Online Assessment
If you complete the application form, you will receive a link to the entrance test via email.
4 : Complete Selection Bootcamp
If you successfully complete the entrance test, you will receive an invitation to attend one of our selection boot camps.
5: Pass Selection Interview
If you successfully complete a selection boot camp, you might be invited to the final interview.
6: Complete Enrollment Process
If your application is successful you will receive an invitation to complete your enrolment process. The process entails signing all relevant contractual documents.
