The Taraba State Government, led by Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas, has launched a new initiative designed to enhance small businesses and create economic opportunities throughout the state. This initiative has seen the disbursement of N442 million to 7,015 eligible micro and small enterprises located in Jalingo.
During the launch, Governor Kefas, represented by his deputy, Aminu Abdullahi Alkali, highlighted the necessity of effectively utilizing these funds to promote business growth and bolster the state’s economy. He urged the recipients to invest the financial support into their enterprises, which would ultimately contribute to sustainable economic development at the grassroots level.
This program is part of a wider strategy for economic empowerment within the state. Polycarp Adi, the coordinator of the Taraba Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus (TRCARE), also urged the beneficiaries to manage the funds prudently to ensure the program’s success. The state government is dedicated to offering guidance, training, and monitoring to ensure the businesses flourish and enhance the overall prosperity of Taraba State.
