To be eligible for the Dorrit Hoffleit Undergraduate Research Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
This fellowship invites applications from:
- Undergraduates majoring in Astronomy, Astrophysics, or Physics, specifically in their second or third year.
- Students of any nationality.
- Those with a keen interest in advancing to graduate studies in these fields.

Selected fellows of the Yale University Undergraduate Research Scholarship will receive:
- A bi-weekly stipend of $450.
- Accommodation within Yale’s historic Residential Colleges.
