The Grooming Endowment Trust (GET), a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Nigeria’s business ecosystem, has successfully concluded the third edition of its annual GET Accelerated program. This initiative is designed to provide early-stage startups with essential resources to scale their businesses without relinquishing equity.
Since its inception in 2020, GET has supported over 50 startups operating in sectors such as education, healthcare, and mobility. The 2024 cohort featured ten innovative startups: Filmanatomie, Lucred, Frootify, Ploutos Page, Deluxe Creation Studios, Autogirl, Growwr, EdGO, Skooqs, and Riwe.
At the closing ceremony, five outstanding startups—Autogirl, EdGO, Deluxe Creation Studios, Ploutos Page, and Growwr—each received additional equity-free funding of ₦10,000,000. In total, the program offers up to ₦55,000,000 in equity-free funding, along with mentorship, masterclasses, and access to an extensive business ecosystem.
“We are excited to have supported startups spanning various industries this year, from those transforming gaming, filmmaking, and mobility to those redefining education’s future,” said Adaobi Okafor, Chairperson of GET.
She applauded the progress made by the startups and reaffirmed GET’s commitment to providing continuous support. Okafor also acknowledged the invaluable contribution of Kick-off Africa, a program partner, in shaping the 2024 cohort.
Abraham Akpan, Program Manager at Kick-off Africa, emphasized the program’s transformative impact over the past three years. “We have empowered early-stage startups by granting them access to capital, mentorship, and the guidance required to scale and thrive,” he said.
Kick-off Africa, renowned for its dedication to fostering innovation and supporting early-stage startups, has played a crucial role in the program’s success, equipping entrepreneurs with the skills needed to drive their ventures forward.
The GET Accelerated program continues to serve as a flagship initiative for GET, reaffirming its mission to cultivate a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem and drive meaningful change in Nigeria.
Applications for the 2025 cohort are scheduled to open in the third quarter of the year.
