AfriLabs, the premier network of tech and innovation hubs in Africa, and UM6P Ventures, dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship and scientific innovation in Morocco and Africa, have formalized their collaboration through a memorandum of understanding (MOU). Signed during the GITEX Africa event in Marrakech, Morocco from May 29th to 31st, this partnership will last for a year, with a focus on fostering economic growth and innovation continent-wide.
- Startups Support: The collaboration will offer mentorship, resources, and access to AfriLabs’ extensive network of over 450 tech innovation hubs across 53 African countries, benefiting startups within UM6P’s ecosystem.
- Investment Opportunities: UM6P Ventures will gain access to AfriLabs Connect Deal Room (ACDR), facilitating investment opportunities by presenting a pipeline of de-risked and investible startups.
- Co-Innovation Projects: Joint endeavors will harness UM6P’s research and development capabilities alongside AfriLabs’ entrepreneurial ecosystem to tackle local and regional challenges.
- Educational Programs: Exploring UM6P courses tailored for AfriLabs Academy to enrich educational offerings and skill development for the community.
