How do we support?
We provide capacity-building and financial support to civil society organisations to deliver impactful projects for climate justice, with activities such as awareness-raising, campaigning, mobilisation, transformative advocacy, policy dialogues, networking, community engagement, people’s hearings, capacity building and organisational development. Together, supported projects, CSOs/groups will raise awareness and interest of people for climate justice and support them to take action for climate justice, while promoting gender-transformative actions and policies.
Campaigning on Just Transition
We are looking for partners interested in actively shaping and engaging in a joint campaign for a Just Transition.
How do we understand Just Transition? A systemic shift towards an equitable, sustainable and inclusive society that tackles the root causes of social and environmental injustices within economic, political, and social structures.
With this campaign we aim to advance the justice dimension of four guiding pillars:
- ending reliance on fossil fuels and boosting green transition,
- leveraging the transition to create better lives,
- transforming food systems and agriculture,
- and securing the financial resources necessary to drive the transition.
We welcome your project ideas that can enrich this ongoing initiative and support these pillars. Proposals in other areas which strongly contribute to a just transition and climate justice will also be considered.
We encourage proposals that help strengthen civil society and challenge systemic inequalities, two key cross-cutting areas of the campaign.
