The Global Startup Awards brings together high impact startups and investors from over 100 countries across the globe. The network offers participants the opportunity to meet prospective mentors, partners, clients, and gain access to the latest industry trends.
The global startup awards Africa is calling upon African innovators, startups, and ecosystem enablers committed to addressing critical global challenges to participate in and complete the 2024 edition by the 5th of may.
The categories are aligned with the un sustainable development goals and the african union agenda, encompassing greentech, healthtech, mobility and logistics, agritech, fintech, and women in tech.
With africa being the youngest continent globally, with 60% of its population under 25 years old, gsa africa aims to empower the youth in shaping the future through innovation, introducing the youth startup category for founders under the age of 26.
The competition unfolds in four key phases, with winners progressing through national and regional levels before culminating at the GSA africa summit in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.
Delegates can anticipate a week-long festival for networking and showcasing innovation, followed by an awards dinner to honor the african winners, who then have the opportunity to compete on the global stage.
The summit provides a platform for innovators to connect, celebrate, and propel africa’s most innovative minds forward, alongside ambassadors, international investors, corporate leaders, and key government stakeholders.
Furthermore, winners gain exclusive access to the Global Innovation Initiative Group Africa fund and the global startup awards alumni network, offering invaluable networking opportunities, mentorship, and connections with regional and global stakeholders.
Applications for the 2024 Global Awards Africa closes on 5 may, with only finalized applications eligible to proceed to the next round. The application process is free and straightforward.
