The Youth 4 Policy (Y4P) Innovation Fellowship is designed to nurture young and emerging policymakers keen on transforming Uganda’s startup ecosystem. They are seeking highly passionate and qualified individuals to conduct in-depth research and produce valuable, high- quality policy papers that will scale and support the emergence of Uganda’s nascent startup sector.
The programme is structured as follows:
- Duration: 5 Months
- Modules and Workshops: Structured training and interactive sessions
- Mentorship: Bi-weekly check-ins with experienced mentors
- Deliverables: Research and submission of a high-quality policy paper

Eligibility
- Applicant must be residents in Uganda (nationality not required);
- Demonstrated interest in policy and innovation;
- Suitable candidates may come from entrepreneurship, law, journalism, policy, technology, economics, engineering, business.
To graduate, fellows must;
- Attend at least 80% of the module days;
- Participate in at least 8 out of 12 mentorship sessions;
- Submit a final policy paper approved by KAS.

The submission deadline is June 19, 2024, by 23:59 (Ugandan Time). 8 fellows will be selected from the applications.
