Siemens Stiftung is extending an invitation to enterprises and organizations eager to drive transformative change within Africa’s transportation sector. Through the E-Mobility 4 Impact Call 2024, they aim to expedite the electrification of transport in Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Overview:
The initiative aims to bolster projects introducing tailored solutions for the shift towards e-mobility in East and West Africa. Given the transport sector’s substantial contribution to global greenhouse gas emissions, there’s an urgent call for innovative strategies to combat climate change. Siemens Stiftung views the electrification of vehicles as a promising avenue and seeks forward-thinking enterprises to spearhead this effort.
Scope and Goals:
Siemens Stiftung is scouting for enterprises leading the charge towards a sustainable, low-carbon transport sector. Whether it’s enhancing the acceptability, accessibility, or affordability of e-mobility, the chosen initiatives will significantly shape Africa’s environmentally friendly future. Projects can center on electric vehicles, battery technology, charging infrastructure, or related areas such as energy, e-waste recycling, or technology integration.
How to Apply:

Female-led enterprises and those tackling gender-related challenges are especially encouraged to participate.
- Candidates need to be registered in the country of the research project.
