The Women at Microsoft (WAM) Scholarship is aimed at empowering women and non-binary high school seniors to pursue a career in the technology industry.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Women at Microsoft Scholarship (Microsoft Scholarship For Women), you must:
- Be a graduating high school senior
- Self-identify as a woman, non-binary, gender fluid or transgender woman
- Plan to enroll full-time in a technology, engineering, math, or computer science-related undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school, in the United States, for the entire upcoming academic year. (International applicants are welcome to apply if they will attend school in the United States.)
- Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent.
Benefits
The Women at Microsoft Scholarship (Microsoft Scholarship For Women) will award 26 one-time awards of $5,000 (USD), thus a total of $130,000.
Selection Criteria
The program will use criteria including the consideration of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation.

Financial need will be considered. Recipients must demonstrate need.
