The World Food Program (WFP) is seeking interns for its global office in New York, USA. The applications are open to apply for the WFP Internship 2025 in New York. It is a Paid Internship Program for Students enrolled in a Bachelor, Masters Program and Graduate students. Interns will receive a Monthly Stipend of $1000 and Travel Tickets will be provided to the interns from developing countries. Throughout their assignment, WFP interns have access to weLearn. Additionally, depending on available opportunities and funding, interns may be able to participate in WFP workshops or seminars.
Duty and Responsibility of the Intern
Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director of office, the intern will:
- Assist WFP staff in preparing for and attending UN meetings (GA, ECOSOC, SC, etc.).
- Support country-specific and regional task forces, as well as thematic issues like SDGs, climate change, and nutrition.
- Help plan and execute WFP-hosted events.
- Monitor relevant issues, analyze data, and produce reports.
Eligibility
- The World Food Programme seeks talented, motivated, and enthusiastic students from all around the world.
- Candidates enrolled in a Bachelors, Masters or recently graduated from a recognized university.
- Completed at least 2 years of undergraduate studies.
- Must have Strong MS Office skills.
- Excellent English, and writing skills.
- Preferred: Data visualization, design, and analysis skills.
- Preferred: International experience.
- IELTS is not required.
- Applicants who are sons, daughters, brothers, or sisters of WFP staff members are not eligible.
