Edfrica was born out of my passion to empower African youth and transform entrepreneurship into a tool for job creation. In Nigeria, where 70% of the population is youth and 40% live below the poverty line, our mission is clear: Make quality business support accessible and affordable to everyone through technology.
Over the past years, Edfrica has:
• Reached over 20,000 entrepreneurs across 20 African countries through multifaceted entrepreneurship support.
• Provided knowledge in finance, regulatory compliance, business setup, scaling, etc through webinars, workshops, etc
• Launched a news/opportunities website (www.edfrica.org)
• Pioneered Nigerian entrepreneurship Voxpop, which delivers business education through engaging entertainment videos.
• Developed a consultant directory (www.consultant.edfrica.org) where 1,221 individuals have benefited from tailored support in business plan writing, CV development, digital strategy, etc.
• Supported African Business Advisors to monetize and publicize their knowledge.
For example, four solar SMEs, after receiving our guidance, together secured USD 140,000 in funding from the GIZ and World Bank projects and hired more than 20 employees; another 50 individuals got regulatory support to become formal businesses.
Collaborations with organizations amplify our impact. By demystifying business support, Edfrica is reducing unemployment and empowering African youth to unlock their entrepreneurial potential.
