The Nigerian Bottling Company Limited (NBC) has successfully concluded its #YouthEmpowered training sessions in Kano and Anambra States, positively impacting over 1,700 young individuals by equipping them with vital skills to enhance their career prospects and entrepreneurial endeavors.
NBC’s #YouthEmpowered initiative reflects the company’s dedication to youth development and job creation throughout Nigeria, offering essential skills for professional advancement and economic empowerment. Participants in the sessions held in Kano and Anambra received training in areas such as optimizing LinkedIn profiles, mastering project management techniques, harnessing AI-driven business innovations, and navigating strategic negotiations for business success.
Olukemi Ogunsakin, the Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Lead at NBC, shared the company’s pride in the program’s achievements, stating, “Understanding the crucial role that young Nigerians play in shaping our nation’s future, we are thrilled to have completed training sessions in Kano and Anambra States. With #YouthEmpowered, we have now reached over 50,000 youths across 12 cities. This latest edition has empowered over 1,700 more young Nigerians with the skills and opportunities essential for their success.”
A standout feature of the program was the Director’s Business Grant, which provided participants with the opportunity to pitch their business ideas for potential funding. This initiative emphasizes NBC’s commitment to fostering young entrepreneurs.

One of the grant recipients, Aisha-Abubakar Abbas from Kano, expressed her appreciation, stating, “This training has instilled in me the confidence to chase my entrepreneurial aspirations.”
