The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency (KASEDA) collaborated to train 50 locals of Katsina State in utilizing digital technology to enhance their businesses.
The three-day program, known as NITDA Digital Empowerment for MSMEs (NDE4M), focused on equipping Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with digital tools to improve efficiency and achieve business goals.
The Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Mallam Farouk Lawal Jobe, inaugurated the event and praised participants for embracing innovation to enhance their businesses. He encouraged them to apply the knowledge gained from the training effectively.
Acknowledging the importance of digital innovation in driving business success, the Deputy Governor assured participants of the state’s support and urged them to maximize the opportunity to unlock the full potential of MSMEs through digital initiatives.
NITDA’s Director General, represented by Dr. Salisu Kaka, emphasized the significance of SMEs in economic growth and highlighted NITDA’s efforts in empowering them through various programs and initiatives.
KASEDA’s Director General, Aisha Aminu Malumfashi, stressed the importance of digital innovation in empowering SMEs, expressing optimism about the positive impact of the training on the state’s economy.
