Call for Applications: Global Voices for Peace Small Seed Grants

The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) is officially accepting applications for its Global Voices for Peace Small Seed Grants program. Grounded in Quaker values of peace, equality, and social justice, this initiative provides seed funding to empower community-led solutions that strengthen democracy, promote dialogue, and advance nonviolence.

Eligibility & Scope

  • Eligible Applicants: Local, community-based, and faith-based organizations aligned with AFSC’s commitment to peace, justice, and nonviolence. Feminist groups, grassroots initiatives, and youth-led movements are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Geographical Scope: Restricted to partners located in the Global South. Partnerships with Global North organizations may be included as part of the overall proposal.

Priority Focus Areas

Funding supports projects that address democratic backsliding, militarism, and the erosion of human rights. Eligible activities include:

  • Community organizing, outreach, and local dialogues
  • Workshops, educational sessions, and training programs
  • Grassroots pilot initiatives and nonviolence projects
  • Small-scale research, documentation, or analytical updates

How to Apply

Proposals must be no longer than 4 pages and include applicant details, an organizational overview, project objectives and activities, expected outcomes, a risk mitigation plan, a USD budget summary, and a statement on alignment with AFSC values.
