Applications are officially open for the YouthHubAfrica Young Social Media Advocates Programme. This initiative is designed to empower dynamic young people across Africa to harness the power of digital platforms for social change, awareness creation, and impactful community advocacy.
The program focuses specifically on building a network of digital change-makers to support the Strengthening Systems and Communities to End Child Marriage (SSCE) project.
Programme Benefits
Selected advocates will gain access to tools and resources to amplify their voices, including:
- Capacity Building: Specialized training on digital advocacy, online campaigning, and impactful digital storytelling.
- Networking & Mentorship: Opportunities to connect with young leaders across Africa and receive direct guidance from advocacy experts.
- Financial Support: A stipend is available for participating advocates.
- Ecosystem Exposure: Direct involvement in real-world social development initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the cohort, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Age: Between 18 and 30 years old.
- Residency: Must reside in one of the focal states/regions: Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Kaduna, Kano, or the FCT.
- Availability: Must be available to attend a mandatory 3-day virtual training sessions in July.
- Profile: Open to social media enthusiasts, content creators, community mobilizers, and youth advocates who demonstrate creativity and a passion for social change.
