ECOWAS Young Graduates Professional Immersion Programme (YGP) 2027

The ECOWAS Young Graduates’ Professional Immersion Programme (YGP) 2027 offers 90 paid, 12-month placements (Jan–Dec 2027) across ECOWAS institutions for early-career West Africans. Managed by the DESC, it delivers hands-on experience, networking, and skill development in regional development. Eligible candidates must be ECOWAS citizens aged 18–32 with a degree and proficiency in English, French, or Portuguese.

ECOWAS Young Graduates Professional Immersion Programme (YGP) 2027

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is inviting applications for the 2027 Young Graduates’ Professional Immersion Programme (YGP).

Designed for early-career professionals across West Africa, this 1-year paid placement offers hands-on experience, executive networking, and leadership training within ECOWAS institutions, specialized agencies, and representation offices.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the YGP 2027 intake, candidates must:

  • Nationality: Be a citizen of an ECOWAS Member State (Benin, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, or Togo).
  • Age Limit: Be between 18 and 32 years old by the application deadline.
  • Education: Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s, PhD, or equivalent qualification.
  • Language Skill: Be fluent in at least one official ECOWAS language (English, French, or Portuguese).
