The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is inviting applications for the 2027 Young Graduates’ Professional Immersion Programme (YGP).
Designed for early-career professionals across West Africa, this 1-year paid placement offers hands-on experience, executive networking, and leadership training within ECOWAS institutions, specialized agencies, and representation offices.
Programme Benefits

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the YGP 2027 intake, candidates must:
- Nationality: Be a citizen of an ECOWAS Member State (Benin, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, or Togo).
- Age Limit: Be between 18 and 32 years old by the application deadline.
- Education: Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s, PhD, or equivalent qualification.
- Language Skill: Be fluent in at least one official ECOWAS language (English, French, or Portuguese).
