Applications are now open for the Founders Fund Africa Creative Economy Accelerator Program, an initiative dedicated to backing high-potential African entrepreneurs building scalable ventures across the creative sector.
Established by Chocolate City Group in partnership with investment firm Argentil Capital Management Limited and implemented by Co-Creation Hub (CcHUB), the accelerator provides early-stage creative founders with flexible funding, tailored mentorship, and strategic growth support.
What Selected Startups Receive
The program is structured to strengthen core business models, improve investment readiness, and help founders scale operations across Africa and globally:
- Direct Capital: Selected startups will receive between $20,000 and $50,000 in investment (offered on flexible convertible note terms).
- Expert Mentorship: One-on-one guidance from executive leaders, successful founders, and operators across Chocolate City Group, Argentil Capital, and CcHUB.
- Strategic Networks: Connections to pan-African and global media platforms, commercial partners, distributors, and follow-on venture capital investors.
- Investment Readiness Support: Direct assistance to optimize financial fundamentals, refine operational strategy, and prepare your business to raise institutional capital.
Focus Sectors
The accelerator will select a targeted cohort of 10 high-potential startups operating in or directly supporting:
- Music & Audio Innovation
- Film, Television & Digital Media
- Design, Fashion & Visual Arts
- Creative Tech (including gaming, content platforms, and tech tools for creators)
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following criteria:
