As climate challenges continue to intensify across vulnerable regions, the demand for skilled professionals in adaptation and sustainability has become increasingly urgent. To help strengthen climate expertise in developing countries, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) has launched applications for the 2026 CAPACITY Fellowship Programme.

The initiative provides experienced professionals with the opportunity to work directly within the UNFCCC Secretariat in Bonn, Germany, while contributing to international climate adaptation efforts.

Backed by the Government of Portugal, the programme focuses on developing technical knowledge, institutional capacity, and leadership skills among professionals from climate-vulnerable nations.
