The Emerging Leaders Foundation-Africa (ELF-Africa) has officially opened applications for iLEAD Fellowship Cohort 13, a five-month values-based leadership and mentorship program running from August to December 2026. The fellowship targets young changemakers committed to personal growth, career advancement, civic engagement, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Eligibility Criteria
- Age: 18 to 25 years old.
- Eligible Countries: Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
- Target Audience: University, college, and TVET students, as well as emerging community leaders.
Program Structure & Schedule
The fellowship spans five months and comprises seven core modules delivered through a blended format combining residential (in-person) and virtual learning sessions.
- Virtual Sessions: Mandatory sessions take place every Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM East Africa Time (EAT).
- Tech Requirements: Access to a reliable digital device and a stable internet connection is required.
- Practical Capstone Project: Participants must complete a mandatory capstone project to apply leadership concepts to real-world community challenges.
- Attendance: 100% attendance is required across all modules, mentorship sessions, and program activities.
