KEYSTONE BANK EMPOWERS NIGERIAN YOUTH THROUGH NATIONWIDE EDUCATION AND FINANCIAL LITERACY INITIATIVES

Keystone Bank has strengthened its commitment to youth development and academic excellence through a series of nationwide educational interventions and institutional partnerships designed to promote financial inclusion, leadership skills, and capacity building among Nigerian students.

The initiative spans primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions across the country, focusing on early financial education and reward systems for academic performance. As part of its primary and secondary school outreach, the bank recognized and rewarded top-performing students across ten selected schools in Abuja, Uyo, Kaduna, Ondo, Lagos, Maiduguri, Kano, Imo, and Zaria. In addition to individual cash prizes, the bank provided financial grants to participating schools to support learning infrastructure and delivered practical workshops on budgeting and savings.

At the tertiary level, Keystone Bank established strategic collaborations with several universities. Partnering with the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Green Hub, the bank supported the Greenpreneur Initiative to expose students to sustainable business practices and circular economy opportunities. It also collaborated with the UNILAG Association of Economics Students for the Expedition Conference, an academic summit that reached over 1,000 participants. Further engagements included sponsoring inter-hall leadership and sports competitions at McPherson University, as well as accounting and finance summits at Pan-Atlantic University and with the Nigerian Universities Accounting Students’ Association (NUASA).
