Nigerian Breweries Empowers Enugu Women Entrepreneurs with Business Grants

Nigerian Breweries Plc, through its Amstel Malta brand, has extended financial support to women entrepreneurs in Enugu State by awarding business grants during the annual August Meeting. The initiative, done in partnership with a government-led women’s empowerment program, aims to boost small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the state's senatorial zones.

Speaking on the initiative, Francis Obiajulu, Senior Brand Manager for Amstel Malta, highlighted that the brand’s "Be Your Best" campaign aligns naturally with the core values of the August Meeting, a traditional gathering where Igbo women from Nigeria and the diaspora return home to foster community development. He noted that the grants offer support beyond event festivities, helping local entrepreneurs build resilience and strive for business excellence.

The event hosted prominent stakeholders, including Enugu State First Lady Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah and the Commissioner for Children, Gender Affairs and Social Development, Ngozi Enyi.
