The 2026 cohort aims to empower globally competitive Nigerian talents who can advance shared economic interests and strategic bilateral collaboration.

Program Focus & Preferred Fields

While the program welcomes diverse talents, priority consideration will be given to the highest-performing students whose academic profiles and career trajectories align with U.S. strategic interests in:

  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Critical Emerging Technologies

What Does OFP Cover?

The biggest hurdle for many bright students is the upfront cost of the American university admission process. OFP directly solves this by providing targeted financial backing to cover essential upfront expenses, including:

  • Standardized testing fees
  • Application fees
  • Other related expenses

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the 2026/2027 cohort, applicants must meet the following strict criteria:

  • Academic Excellence & Leadership: Demonstrate top-tier academic performance and strong leadership potential.
  • Clear Intent: Show a definitive commitment to pursuing post-secondary (undergraduate or postgraduate) studies in the U.S.
