On August 12, 2026, about 641 teenagers gathered at Government Science Secondary School in Maitama, Abuja, for an intensive technical and vocational training program. Organized by the Olivehill Development Initiative (ODI) in collaboration with TOM Camp Outreach Ministries, the event aimed to equip young people with practical expertise across 20 distinct skill sets.

Timed alongside International Youth Day, the workshop went beyond standard classroom theory by offering interactive, hands-on learning across tech and creative industries. Participants explored digital fields such as cybersecurity, coding, mobile cinematography, and graphic design, while also gaining practical experience in crafts like shoemaking, bead making, soap making, scented candle creation, crocheting, and fascinator design.

This initiative marks the second consecutive year of partnership between ODI and TOM Camp. Speaking on the impact of the program, Idara Umana, Chief Operating Officer at ODI, emphasized that education should empower youth with problem-solving skills and practical confidence to build their futures. Representative Mr. Victor Ajibolu of TOM Camp added that equipping teenagers with practical skills positions them to become proactive creative thinkers and economic leaders.
