Are you a young African leader using Artificial Intelligence to drive positive change? The Brandtech Group, in partnership with One Young World, has launched its 2026 AI for Good Scholarship.
This fully funded opportunity will bring five exceptional young leaders to the One Young World Summit in Cape Town, South Africa, to explore how AI can power future generations and reshape the world of work.
Core Focus Areas (The Pillars)
Selected scholars should head initiatives that leverage AI to address one or more of the following:
- Sustainability: Tackling climate change and environmental issues.
- Education: Improving learning systems, access to education, and productivity.
- Social Equity: Combating misinformation, online hate, and social harm.
- Healthcare: Addressing health inequality, access, and mental well-being.
- Citizen Engagement: Driving active civic participation.
Note: If your initiative doesn't perfectly fit these pillars but uses AI positively and responsibly to drive impact, your application will still be considered.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Age: Between 18 and 30 years old at the time of the Summit.
- Nationality & Residence: Must be a citizen and resident of an African country.
- Track Record: Proven leadership and a history of generating impactful, responsible AI solutions in Africa.
- Engagement: A strong understanding of local/global issues and a willingness to actively engage with fellow scholars and Brandtech Group staff.
