Designed to empower emerging women leaders in Nigeria across Lagos, Kwara, Delta, Gombe, Katsina, and Enugu, selected participants strengthen governance knowledge, gain project monitoring skills, and drive public accountability.

Tracka and BudgIT have officially opened applications for the Governance for Women By Women Fellowship 2026. Designed to strengthen civic engagement and public accountability, this capacity-building initiative equips emerging women leaders with key skills in budget tracking and project monitoring.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Identity as a woman affiliated with or working for a Civil Society Organization (CSO), media outlet, or advocacy group.
  • A demonstrated interest in budget tracking, public project monitoring, and civic education.
  • Full availability to commit to a 2–3 month virtual fellowship.

Focus States

The fellowship is open to women residing or operating in these Nigerian states:

  • Lagos
  • Kwara
  • Delta
  • Gombe
  • Katsina
  • Enugu
