Are you a professional or amateur photographer with an eye for compelling storytelling? The UNESCO-UNEVOC Skills in Action Photo Competition 2026 is now accepting entries!
This global contest celebrates the transformative power of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). It offers photographers a platform to showcase how hands-on skills prepare young people for the future, highlighting innovation, inclusion, sustainability, and youth employment.
Competition Categories & Themes
Participants can submit up to one entry per category, with a maximum of four submissions per photographer across the following themes:
- Equity and Inclusion: Photos showing that skills development is accessible to everyone, regardless of gender, ethnicity, nationality, background, or ability.
- Green Skills and Sustainability: Images capturing eco-friendly practices, sustainable technologies, or green jobs.
- Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence: Visual stories of youth engaged in robotics, coding, virtual reality, or AI applications.
- Innovation and Excellence: Photographs showcasing creative training methods and skills that boost productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Prizes & Recognition
- 1st Place: $750 USD
- 2nd Place: $500 USD
- 3rd Place: $350 USD

Eligibility Requirements
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ownership: You must be the original owner or copyright holder of all submitted photos.
Submission & Technical Guidelines
Each submission must include:

- A completed official submission form.
File Specifications:
- Format: JPEG required (RAW/TIFF files are accepted and considered an advantage).
- Resolution: The longest side of the photo must be at least 3,000 pixels.
- Editing: Minimal digital enhancements are allowed but must be disclosed upon entry.
Note: By submitting entries, photographers agree that all photos become the property of UNESCO-UNEVOC and may be featured in future promotional campaigns, publications, and media materials.
