The 2026 World Forum for Democracy is now accepting applications from individuals and organisations developing innovative solutions to strengthen democracy and civic participation worldwide.
Organised as a global platform for democratic dialogue and policy innovation, the forum brings together governments, researchers, civil society organisations, youth leaders, and democratic institutions to discuss emerging challenges and explore practical solutions for the future of democracy.
The 14th edition of the forum will focus on democratic foresight and how societies can prepare for evolving political, social, and technological challenges.

Selected participants will receive valuable international exposure and networking opportunities.
Fully Funded Participation
One representative from each selected initiative may receive:
- Travel support to Strasbourg, France
- Accommodation coverage during the forum
- Access to global democracy and policy discussions
Funding support will be provided by the Council of Europe where required.
Programme Structure
The forum will run across multiple sessions designed to explore democratic challenges and practical solutions.
Day One
The opening sessions will focus on understanding current threats to democracy and exploring possible future scenarios.
Day Two
