YouthConnekt Africa in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the African Union (AU) has officially opened applications for its YouthConnekt Africa Export Accelerator 2026.
Designed for established youth-led enterprises, the growth-focused programme aims to help young entrepreneurs strengthen their export readiness, navigate cross-border trade, and expand into broader African markets under the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Selected participants will receive tailored support geared toward scaling their businesses across regional borders, including:
- Export Capacity & Readiness: Specialized guidance on preparing products and services for international standards.
- Regulatory & Customs Support: Practical training on navigating cross-border trade compliance and overcoming non-tariff trade barriers.
- Financial Access & Networking: Connections to investment opportunities, regional business networks, and trade partners.
- Market Entry Strategies: Tailored enterprise support designed around the specific growth potential of each business.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 2026 cohort, applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Eligible Countries: Entrepreneurs based in Rwanda, Uganda, Senegal, The Gambia, Zambia, or Zimbabwe.
- Business Stage: Must own or operate an established business ready for cross-border expansion (the program is focused on growth and market entry rather than grant funding).
- Vision: A clear ambition to participate in intra-African trade.
