AWIEF Awards 2024 Ceremony Marks the Grand Finale of a Celebratory Conference
CAPE TOWN, South Africa, December 2, 2024/ — The 2024 Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) Awards (www.AWIEForum.org) celebrated the extraordinary accomplishments of African women entrepreneurs during a prestigious ceremony at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). Held on Friday evening, the glamorous event honored six remarkable winners, chosen from a distinguished pool of 18 finalists, and presented Dr. Naledi Pandor, Former Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa, with the esteemed Lifetime Leadership Award.

Celebrating a Lifetime of Leadership
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Lifetime Leadership Award to Dr. Naledi Pandor. A trailblazer in leadership, Dr. Pandor has made an indelible impact through her decades-long career, during which she significantly shaped South Africa’s domestic and international policies. As Minister of International Relations and Cooperation from 2019 to 2024, she championed South Africa’s diplomatic efforts, fostered peace-building, and advanced global cooperation. Her visionary leadership continues to inspire current and future generations across the African continent and beyond.
