The Information Technology Department (ITD) provides high quality, value for money Information Technology services and leadership in the application of technology towards the mission of the Fund.
are inviting applications from qualified IT professionals interested in joining one of the following areas:
Application Services manages the operation, maintenance, versioning, development, and upgrading of IMF applications through the lifecycle. Evaluates market best practices, techniques and procedures essential for deployed application’s optimal performance and efficiency. Provides business analysis (BA), application design, secure code development with integration and delivers capital projects .
IT Project Management manages program/project scope, resources (people and budget), timeline and outcomes.
Information Security establishes Fund‐wide information security policies, standards, procedures, guidelines and is responsible for interpretation, governance and oversight.
Data and Economics’ mission is to empower and support Fund users with cutting-edge AI, ML, data, and economic modeling tools by leveraging best practices in data lifecycle engineering.
AI & GenAI experts with experience in machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, and GenAI implementation have designed and implemented general-purpose GenAI projects.
Scientific Computing & Computational Economics uses advanced computing capabilities to represent and solve complex problems from all fields in economics and finance.
IT Strategy & Architecture ensures alignment and standardization of business value chains with IT capabilities, research and evaluation of emerging technologies and strategic technology planning.
IT Infrastructure is the design, development, and support of technology infrastructure (including networks), hardware, software, office systems, systems performance management and Cloud.
IMF is seeking experienced IT Professionals who have:
A track record of working well in a collegial team environment, and strong ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels and of different cultural backgrounds and with other international organizations and stakeholders.
An advanced university degree plus a minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience or a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or IT related field, plus a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience.
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as planning and organizational skills.
Relevant professional experience in a similar capacity in a comparable international organization is desirable.
Selection Criteria
- IMF will conduct an initial screening based on your application and supporting documentation. If you are successful in meeting our initial criteria, you will receive an invitation to participate in a video interview. If selected following your video interview, you will receive an invitation for a preliminary interview in one of the countries being used as a regional hub.
Benefits
- The IMF will cover the travel, hotel and per diem costs for all shortlisted candidates invited for interview in the relevant hubs. Successful candidates will then be invited to participate in final assessments comprising of a panel interview and/or a technical assessment.
The IMF will conduct Regional Recruitment Outreach Missions to South Africa and Kenya from Jan 27-31,` 2025 and to Cote di Ivoire and Senegal Feb 3-7, 2025 aimed at engaging with experienced IT professionals from across the region.
